She finds people to be extremely beautiful, complex, and stunning creatures... but she's always struggled to connect with them, to truly understand them. She's blaming this on some sort of disconnect within herself, on a wire that's been knocked loose somewhere along the way that's prevented her from truly understanding herself.
She's spent her entire life searching for somewhere she belonged. At one point, she belonged in the arms and the heart of a man named Michael, her father. He understood her, adored her, truly loved her for all she was and could be until his dying breath a mere three years into her life.
She thought she would find love in the arms of those who fostered her, but in the midst of all the loss she only found resentment and toxicity. She searched religion only to find terms and conditions where she searched for that which is unconditional.
Thirty-two years later, she's still searching for someone who can love as deeply, genuinely, and unconditionally as she.
So far, she's found Finnegan.
